Foster parents spend a lot of time and their own resources in caring for the needs of children in care. Many of these children have special needs and require a lot of extra time and attention. Caring for them is a costly endeavor, and the generous donations of our community can help us to care even better for them.

We welcome many different kinds of donations wether it be your time to volunteer, items foster children could use, scholarships, toy/diaper/school supply drive and funds. 100% of all donations go directly to programs and services for Callaway county's foster and adopted children. The Callaway County Chapter of MFCAA has 501(c)3 status so all donations are tax deductable.

Donations we are in need of :

1. Volunteers - we need people just like you to step up and want to give their time to make a difference in a child's life. We need volunteers for childcare the second Tuesday of each month. Helping at events and activities. One simply act of kindness will touch a child's heart forever.

2. Hosting Drives/Fundraiser - each year we have a toy drive for our "Give a Gift" program and a school supply drive. Could your business help us out and have a box set up to collect needed items. This is a great way for employees and businesses to give back to the community!

3. Funds/Money - there are over 105 foster children in Callaway County that we offer our programs and services to. With your generous support we are "Giving Kids a Brighter Future".

4. Items Foster Kids Need - we have recently started a new program called "Clothing Kids In Need". This provides the children brand new socks, underwear, t-shirts and much more. We welcome any new clothing donation. Want to get rid of a baby crib, toddler bed or bunkbeds? These are items that our foster parents are in need of.

There are over 11,000 foster children in the state of Missouri. If you interested in becoming a Callaway County foster parent or want to adopt a foster child please contact the Division of Children Services (573)-592-4138.
