* Brand NEW Car & Booster Seats - these are provided to our county's foster children so they are able to have a CLEAN and SAFE seat. Are foster and kinship parents along with Callaway County Division of Children Services can call us at anytime and recieve this provision.

* Love Bags - when a child enters foster care they usually come with only the unclean clothes on their backs. These children are pulled from emergency situtations where there is no time to pack their belongings. Every child receives a Love Bag that is filled of essential items. This Love Bag helps ease the transition from having to leave their home and being placed in a foster home. For a child who came to a new place with nothing......how comforting it is to have new things.

* School Supplies - with the help of our community we are able to provide brand new backpacks FULL of school supplies to the foster children. When a family has 4 or 6 foster children it can be a costly endevor to buy brand new backpacks let alone all the school supplies for each child. Our families turn in their child's list to us and can come pick up there "ready made up" backpack of everything they need.

* "Give a Gift" - this program allows our county's foster children to make a list of their gift and clothing request. Some children have never had the opportunity to open a brand new toy......imagine the smiles of children when they recieve a large gift bag stuffed of things they wish for.

* Big Surf Water Park - we pay for all the foster, kinship and adoptive families who are members of the Callaway County MFCAA to have a special fun filled family day. This gives foster children quality time with their foster parents and siblings. We also provide lunch for everyone at this event.

* Bowling Party - this encourages everyone to get out and do a fun activity with the family. We even get bumper pads for the lanes so all the little ones have fun playing too.

* Pizza Party - we provide pizza for all the foster children.

* Foster Care Picnic - every year we have a BIG picnic in June. We provide lunch, bounce house, scavenger hunt, bingo, prizes, goody bags, face painting and much more for the children. Everyone looks forward to this event! This shows the foster children our community cares about them.

* Monthly Meetings/Hope Chest - we provide once a month through out the year a meeting for all foster, kinship and adoptive families. At these meetings we offer support, trainings, free childcare and donations. How encouraging it is for families to get together and share idea's and have a listening ear for each other. Our trainings are approved by the Division of Children Services so parents are able to get credit hours to keep up their license. Many families have a hard time finding childcare for all their children so we provide free childcare at the same place of our meeting. We bring donations to the families each month along with having prizes for all who attend. After our meetings Hope Chest provides food donations to all the families in which every single trunk gets filled to the very top.

* "Clothing Kids in Need" - this is a new program that will provide foster children through out the whole year with brand new socks, underwear, T-shirts and much more. A foster family can call us at anytime and request items for their child.
